At Dansations, we believe the best part of dance isn’t getting it perfect—it’s growing, trying, and celebrating every step along the way! We teach dancers to embrace the “almost,” turn challenges into opportunities, and let hard work, perseverance, and a positive mindset fuel their progress. Every win, wobble, breakthrough, and “I almost got it!” is part of the journey—and we celebrate it all!
The Dansations staff works hard every day to create a culture of celebration, where dancers, instructors, and parents celebrate achievements leading dancers to feel supported and valued. In classes, we encourage clapping for peers, peer shout-outs, and positive feedback from instructors. We understand that when our students look back at their time at Dansations, they will not remember the skill we taught, but rather, how their teachers made them feel. We want our students to feel strong, empowered and confident!

At Dansations we use dance to teach resilience by encouraging dancers to use a growth mindset. A growth mindset helps students, teachers and parents focus on effort, hard work and improvement rather than end results. By practicing growth mindset dancers will learn to view setbacks and “failure” as learning opportunities and a chance to grow. We work with dancers to help them feel excited over “almost,” allowing students to learn from failure and let it fuel their drive for continued growth. This mindset will reinforce the idea that hard work, perseverance and dedication are the key to success.
Whether a dancer joins us for one class or fifteen, we want them to feel welcomed, celebrated, and confident. Along with strong technical training, our dancers build real-life skills such as discipline, teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, problem-solving, and resilience. While some of our dancers may go on to dance professionally, every dancer leaves Dansations with skills, confidence, and a mindset that can take them anywhere!
