This is a great program that allows dancers to take their recreational dancing a step further! This class will participate in the recital as well as 2 local dance competitions at the beginner level. No other requirements are needed to take this class. Previous dance experience and current enrollment in ballet is highly recommended.

Jazz is typically an upbeat style of dance that mix classic jazz movements as well as modern dance trends. At Dansations, we work with dancers to improve flexibility, jumps, turns and combinations to strengthen the technical skills of our dancers. Since many elements of jazz are founded in ballet, many students take both classes simultaneously since it improves musical timing, precision and technique.

Dress Code

Girls need a leotard and tights for all classes, jazz shorts optional. Boys need black dance pants and a tee shirt.

Shoes: Girls – Baily’s tan pull on, Boys Black pull on.
